To Ben and Monique (Orthober) Schafer, the Regis experience is more than just schooling. The 2006 Regis graduates met and fell in love at the University. Today Ben serves as the director of sales for a local technology and manufacturing company and Monique is a software consultant implementing Workday.

For Monique, her Regis education plays a significant role in her life. "Regis provided me with the gifts of space and support to uncover what makes me passionate," she says. "The philosophies and lessons I learned during my time at Regis are helping me to live my best life while helping others live theirs."

Both Ben and Monique attended Regis University with scholarships, Monique was offered a significant academic scholarship and Ben received a full tuition scholarship to play basketball. Ben states, "If it was not for a full scholarship, I would never have had the financial ability to attend a school like Regis. It is important for me to contribute to the education of others at Regis who need financial assistance."

The couple expresses much gratitude for the opportunity each had to attend Regis University and know personally the importance of giving today's students the same chance. "We appreciate how our experience at Regis has shaped us, and we feel that the best way to show our gratitude is to contribute to the future of the institution so that others may have the same opportunities that we did."
